In 2008, The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology (NADL) was created to advocate and raise awareness of the necessity of dental laboratory technology education for dental technicians and other effected members of the dental team.
The Foundation's purpose is to improve the nation's educational climate for future dental technicians. We are developing educational programs that are relevant and accessible to both dental technicians working in the laboratory as well as dental laboratory technology students. We are creating a Web based national curriculum for dental laboratory technology that will incorporate industry driven needs. The Foundation is committed to promoting a national curriculum that supports the needs of the industry and dentistry.
The National Association of Dental Laboratories generously contributed an initial $200,000 to The Foundation, but now we need your support, as partners in the industry to ensure that The Foundation's goals become a reality. Our goal is to raise an additional $200,000 this year in order to provide scholarships and fund the planned educational programs.
